PORTS AMERICA NEW ORLEANS - THANKSGIVING TERMINAL HOLIDAY SCHEDULE

PORTS AMERICA NOLA., GATE AND TERMINAL OPERATIONS WILL BE "CLOSED" ON THURSDAY, 11/28/24 AND FRIDAY 11/29/24. NORMAL HOURS OF OPERATION WILL RESUME ON MONDAY 12/2/24.

URGENT NOTICE:UPDATE EFFECTIVE MONDAY 12/9/24 - PORTS AMERICA NOLA PROCESS/PROCEDURES FOR APPOINTMENT TIME SLOTS

URGENT NOTICE UPDATE :  PORTS AMERICA NOLA -  REVISED GO-LIVE DATE IMPLEMENTING NEW PROCESS FOR APPOINTMENT TIMESLOTS - MONDAY DECEMBER 9, 2024

The Go Live Implementation date previously announced for Monday, November 18th is being temporarily pushed back due to conflicting schedule timeline  and availability for our Development Team to move the planned change into Production. 

The revised date to implement this change of process where Trucks will be spun and asked to exit Terminal arriving too early or too late outside the allowed leeway times of their appointment timeslot will now be fully implemented on Monday, December 9TH.   

It is requested  please for all Truck Company dispatchers and drivers to take this time now, before the process/procedure for your drivers appointments are strictly enforced, to continue to dispatch your drivers based on the appointment hour timeslots available to arrive at the Port for processing scheduled appointments.

 

PROCESS/PROCEDURE CHANGE DETAILS:

Ports America will be setting for each hour time slot a leeway window allowing truck to enter and process only 30 minutes prior to the hour time slot and 30 minutes after. Drivers showing up earlier then the allowed times will be advised by the clerks at the Gate Pedestal they are either too early for their appointment or too late. Drivers that arrive too early will be advised if early that they will need to exit the terminal and return back to Circle Holding area and return back within their allowed appointment time slot to get processed. Those drivers showing up late beyond and past their appointment time will be advised to also exit terminal and late appointment will be deleted. Drivers once they exit terminal will need to contact their dispatch to check for the appointment to be re-scheduled as long as there are available later timeslots left available to re-schedule the drivers appointment(s). If later appointment available driver can return back to gate to process but only within the allowed hour time slot appointment.

EXAMPLE: Appointments made for 0800 – 0900 Hour Time Slot will be allowed to enter Main Gate Entrance at 0730 to proceed to Ports America’s Lanes to process their appointments. Trucks showing up after 0930 appointments are considered missed and late arriving.

The update will be made in our production Appointment System TOS PORTAL  “implementing” on Monday, December 9th.  Clerks will receive automatically when they go to process the driver at the Pedestal triggering a message if too early or too late. At this time a trouble ticket will be given and drivers will need to adhere to the clerks instructions to Exit the Terminal when advised. For those appointments made that your drivers are going to run late it is highly recommended that you get those appointments “Deleted” in advance and re-schedule if there are any later appointments still left open for a different hour time slot. It is also recommended going forward as well for appointments showing “PENDING” that error clearly Indicates the appointment is not good for that day to receive or pick up should be “Deleted” at that time to not take up appointment slots that can be used by others to make valid "Active" appointments.

HIGH IMPORTANCE: PLEASE READ AND COPY TO DISTRIBUTE AS NEEDED TO DRIVERS AND DISPATCHERS:

IMPORTANT UPDATE AND INFORMATION BELOW REGARDING PORTS AMERICA NAPOLEON TERMINAL TOS PORTAL/APPOINTMENT SETTING ALL CHASSIS AS "OWN" AND CHANGE REGARDING "CHASSIS LINE REPAIR" EFFECTIVE MONDAY 6/24. 

ALL, AS INFORMED EFFECTIVE MONDAY, 6/24/24 PORTS AMERICA NOLA NAPOLEON CONTAINER TERMINAL WILL "NO LONGER" ALLOW DROPPING OR PICK UP OF CHASSIS AT THIS FACILITY AND THE OPENING OF NEW RELOCATED CHASSIS YARD AT LA. AVE. THERE SHOULD NOT BE ANY DRIVERS ON MONDAY 6/24 ARRIVING AT PORTS AMERICA NAPOLEON TERMINAL COMING IN THE GATE BOBTAILING FOR OUR TERMINAL GOING FORWARD!!!!

APPOINTMENTS:

MAKE SURE ALL APPOINTMENTS IN/OUT SET UP SHOW THE "OWN" BOX CHECKED!!!  CHASSIS NUMBER MUST BE ENTERED IN CHASSIS NUMBER BOX ON APPOINTMENT DETAILS.  IF CHASSIS NUMBER NOT KNOWN AT TIME OF PRE-APPOINTMENT SET UP ENTERING THE WORD "OWN"  IN THE CHASSIS NUMBER FIELD WILL BE ACCEPTED AND UPDATED BY CLERK AT GATE PROCESSING.

URGENT! IF ANYONE LOGGING IN TO OUR NOLA TOS PORTAL EFFECTIVE IMMEDIATELY AND "DO NOT" SEE THE "OWN" BOX AUTOMATICALLY DEFAULTED AND CHECKED MUST MAKE THE BELOW NOTED  CHANGES FOR THIS SITE IN YOUR BROWSER. THE "OWN BOX" MUST BE CHECKED FOR ALL APPOINTMENTS EFFECTIVE IMMEDIATELY AND ALWAYS. FOR THOSE THAT DO NOT SEE THE "OWN" BOX AUTOMATICALLY CHECKED ONCE YOU LOG INTO SITE AND ENTER A SIZE/TYPE OPTION FOR OUT MOVES OR ONCE A CONTAINER NUMBER IS ENTERED ON A RECEIVE MOVE IN THE DETAILS SECTION OF THE APPOINTMENT MUST FOLLOW THE BELOW INSTRUCTIONS TO HAVE THIS CORRECTED TO SHOW OWN AS DEFAULT CHECKED.  

1. Open the https://tosportalno.portsamerica.com/ site in the browser.

2. Click the three dots (¿) in the upper-right corner -> Select History (or Click Ctrl +H)

3. Click "Delete browsing data" on the left.

4. Uncheck the "Browsing History" and Check the checkbox “Cookies and other site data”

5. Click "Delete data"

 

PORTS AMERICA NAPOLEON TERMINAL (CHASSIS LINE REPAIR)

PLEASE BE ADVISED ON MONDAY 6/24/24 WATERMARK TERMINAL SOLUTIONS WILL CONTINUE TO PERFORM LINE REPAIR AT IN YARD HOLDING FOR MINOR CRITERIA ITEMS ONLY ON THE POOL AND SEABOARD MARINE CHASSIS THAT DRIVERS MAY COME IN WITH THAT NEED MINOR FIXES DONE SUCH AS LIGHTS,MUDFLAPS, ETC. BEFORE LEAVING OUT WITH A CONTAINER FOR OUT MOVE OR EXITING WITH CHASSIS AS "OWN" THRU OUTBOUND BOBTAIL LANE IF THERE IS NO CONTAINER OUT MOVE. 

ALL DRIVERS WITH NO CONTAINER OUT MOVES EXITING WITH THE POOL OR SEABOARD CHASSIS FROM THE TERMINAL WILL BE ALLOWED TO EXIT OUT THE OUTBOUND BOBTAIL LANE AT THE OUTGATE LANES. 

ALL TRUCKS WITH CONTAINERS, CHASSIS ONLY OR BOBTAILING MUST STILL GO THROUGH THE US CUSTOMS RPM PORTAL AS MANDATED BY U.S. CUSTOMS (CBP).

URGENT MESSAGE:  EFFECTIVE MONDAY, 6/24/24 THE PORTS AMERICA LA. AVENUE CHASSIS YARD/TERMINAL WILL BE OPENING OPERATIONS FOR " PORTS AMERICA CHASSIS ONLY" FOR DROP AND PICK UPS AT THIS LOCATION. CHASSIS WILL NO LONGER BE AVAILABLE ON MONDAY, 6/24 AT THE PORTS AMERICA NAPOLEON AVENUE CONTAINER TERMINAL TO DROP OR PICK UP.

HOURS OF OPERATION: MONDAY THRU FRIDAY - 7 AM (0700) TO 4 PM  (1600)

SECURITY GATE OPENS : 7AM  - Trucks coming in to drop or pick up chassis allowed to enter Terminal at Security Gate at 7AM.  

SECURITY GATE CLOSES: 3:30 PM – Trucks for chassis drop or pick up will not be allowed to enter Security Gate Entrance after 3:30 PM
