Dear Valued Customer,
The requirements of international shipping continue to evolve at an extremely rapid pace. Supply chains have become increasingly complex, vessels have grown in size and visibility and integration capabilities are now standard. Marine terminals are faced with mounting challenges to keep pace with the needs of the industry. To ensure that Napoleon Avenue Marine Terminal continues to provide high quality service to its customers, stakeholders, and support commerce in the region, a Terminal Modernization Fee will be introduced.
Effective May 3rd, 2021 Ports America Louisiana will issue a tariff revision to cover a Terminal Modernization Fee in the amount of $25.00 per loaded container (import or export), as shown below. The fee will be paid via 3rd party (non-ocean carrier) when making an appointment to drop off an export container or pick up an import. The appointment will not be validated until the fee is paid.
724 TERMINAL MODERNIZATION FEE
Effective - May 3, 2021
A charge of $25.00 per loaded container will be assessed as a Terminal Modernization Fee
The full revised tariff as well as appointment and payment instructions may be found on our Ports America Louisiana's website - http://www.portsamericalouisiana.com. A step by step payment guide will also be distributed to all in copy prior to implementation.
Thank you for your continued support.
